SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

These requirements apply to gAnim8 (not the gAnim8 Conversion Tool or GtkSnapshot)

NOTE: If you download one of the 'SUITE' versions of gAnim8, you do NOT have to worry about satisfying the FFMPEG and Gifsicle requirements. If you download a 'basic' version of gAnim8, make sure your system meets all the requirements below.

REQUIRED:

Gtk+	Find RPMS	Find Source Code	1.2.8-4 or better is recommended
PyGTK	Find RPMS	Find Source Code	0.6.9 or better (with the gdkimlib module - do not use the package 'python-gtk', must be PyGtk or pygtk)
PyGnome	Find RPMS	Find Source Code	1.4.1-1 or better, 1.4.2 recommended (Do NOT use the package called 'gnome-python', must be 'pygnome')
Python Numeric	Find RPMS	Find Source Code	version 20.3 or better
Imlib / GdkImlib	Find RPMS	Find Source Code	Most Gnome and GTK users probably already have this, Imlib version 1.9.8.1-6 or better is recommended
Gnome Libs	Find RPMS	Find Source Code	1.4 or better recommended, you *should* be able to get away with just the Gnome-libs
Gifsicle	Find RPMS	Find Source Code	which contains both the 'gifsicle' and 'gifview' executables, version 1.30 or better, either the 'gifsicle' or 'ungifsicle' package should do. ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED - gAnim8 will do nothing without it.   Also, available in the download section.

RECOMMENDED:

FFMPEG	Find RPMS	Find Source Code	containing the 'ffmpeg' binary with the 'libavcodec' shared library - version 0.4.6 or better - required for ALL video support (in addition to ImageMagick)   Also, available in the download section.
ImageMagick	Find RPMS	Find Source Code	containing the 'convert' binary, version 5.2.3+, version 5.4.6.1 or better recommended - adds support for 110+ image formats.   Also, available in the download section.

NOTE: This program is built on top of Gifsicle, so you can do nothing with gAnim8 until you get Gifsicle. gAnim8 will run, but will refuse to do anything without Gifsicle installed.
