PyPrint

The PyPrint software package has finally been ported to PyGtk-2/Gtk-2 as of version 0.3. PyPrint is written in Python and, therefore, requires NO COMPILING....ever.

A modified version of PyPrint is used in Pytho˝ol for printing capabilities. However, a stand-alone version of the PyPrint package is available and includes two utilities: PyPrint and PySpool. The PyPrint package is open source and free under the GNU General Public License.

PyPrint:
PyPrint is a simple Gtk-based document printing tool written in 100% Python. It is intended to be a stand-alone application for printing selected documents to LPRng and LPR-based printer spools. This is BETA code. PyPrint has only been tested with LPRng 3.8.12 on local printers. PyPrint requires the following executables on your PATH: lpstat, lpr, a2ps, html2ps, convert, psselect, ps2pdf, pdf2ps, ghostview. NO technical support is provided for this module. See the system requirements for full details on what you need.
